Being means: not numbering and counting, but ripening like a tree, which doesn?t force its sap, and stands confidently in the storms of spring, not afraid that afterward summer may not come. It does come. But it comes only to those who are patient, who are there as if eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly silent and vast. I learn it every day of my life, learn it with pain I am grateful for: patience is everything!
We are called to be fruitful - not successful, not productive, not accomplished. Success comes from strength, stress, and human effort. Fruitfulness comes from vulnerability and the admission of our own weakness. sometimes...i read lovely stuff. sometimes...not.

Vancouver is what would happen if Denver and San Francisco had a baby. That means, if it hadn't inherited it's ugly child climate genes from San Francisco, it would be the perfect city for me. Alas, I cannot live in rain.

Conversation One: The Return of the Dot.Com
Person 1: Do you think the dot.com is coming back? I mean, do you think there's going to be a second boom?

Person 2: I don't know, but I think maybe. I'm having to turn down business these days, and you hear a lot of the same buzz words around. Lot's of people are offering "solutions" again.

Person 1: Perhaps our new business should be the online solutions for the seamless integration of dancing hamster portals.

Conversation Two: On My Busy Schedule
Me: Ry, seriously, I am so busy this week that I don't have time to breath. Just look at my schedule.

Ry: Am I really supposed to take you seriously when there's a written down item on your to-do list that says "tan?"
