Between a Peruvian lunch with Pookie, a conversation with Lisa, Ho's upcoming visit and the nascent stages of planning for the 2006 and 2007 world trips, I figured it was time to get through posting the photos from Peru. Don't worry, Aaron, stick with me and there are more silly travel hat pictures.
Before that, though.
Yesterday my neighbor brings over two Amazon boxes, of which I am only expecting one ("The Cut Man Cometh", people). I open the other one and scan the invoice, only to see K-Yo's name appear. I immediately panic thinking that I accidentally sent her birthday gift to my place instead of hers, but as I remove the paper I realize that not only has K-Yo replaced my copy of "Miracle," a movie that she and I cried through the day after my 30th birthday party, but that she has also replaced EVERY SINGLE ONE of my Peanuts holiday dvds. I love you, K. I will call you tonight or tomorrow. My shoes finally arrived, the party is under control, and I bought you sumpin for the big day. You are the best.
Then, as an added bonus, I receive my Christmas and birthday presents from Lisa, who always sends months late so that summer will be more fun. And not only is the frame perfect, but I've been dying to read that book. Thank you. You rock.

Paracas: Beaches and Resorts are a Nice Change
I. The resort: Pook is recalling a story at lunch last week about how, when we arrived in Paracas everybody wanted to go to a nature reserve. "Hey, Jos," he says, "Remember when we all when to the nature reserve and you were like, 'Screw that shit. I'm sitting my ass here by the ocean?'" See below for said resort.
So lovely. Our only real night in a nice resort.

I bet you did not know it was possible to play mini golf on cement.
We actually ate here, and nobody got a stomach parasite HERE.
